Hive position 3. Half a dozen queen cells cut out in top (old box), egg removed from cup in bottom box. Queen seen.
Hive position 4. Varroa count 15. No queen cells. Queen seen.

Hive position 1. Varroa count 30 2nd tray added.

Hive position 3. Demareed, using one the sealed queen cells to form a nuc, along with 1 super frame with supplies. Queen caught and marked - green.

Both hives treated with Apigaurd.

Saturday 25th April 2015.
The first Apiary meeting at Knightshayes took place with about 20 people attending. We transferred the bees from two Nuc's supplied by Jon Gubb into brand new National Hives and added a couple of frames to each colony to give space to expand. We marked both queens - green, last years colour.
